Our History
Saratoga Academy of Elite Martial Arts (SAEMA) is headed by Shihan James Bruchac, a 7th degree black in Kyokushin Karate, and a 3rd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Originally founded in 2010 as a Kyokushin Karate and kickboxing academy, things quickly began to evolve. Joined by brother Jesse Bruchac in 2011, co-founder of WNYMMA in Buffalo, so came our Alliance Jiu Jitsu program. Several years later came Judo, then Muay Thai, and so on. Over time, with the help of many more great instructors, SAEMA has become our area's premier martial arts training facility. Check out our list of styles in our Free Trails Section.
